Above the Reservoir / Under the Reservoir

I made two short animated films for a residency at Edgbaston Waterworks in Birmingham in 2018. The films concern the Edgbaston Reservoir and were exhibited at the nearby Perrott's Folly tower (on the top floor and the ground floor respectively). Above the Reservoir is airy and light, with ambient sounds of human activity carrying across the water. Under the Reservoir is energetic and saturated, depicting prosaic and fantastical scenes below the surface of the water, accompanied by original music.

The residency was curated by Re:future Collective. I also delivered a community workshop on "Experimenting with Drawing" as part of the programme. Other participants in the residency were Elizabeth Jordan, Leah Lovett and Jonathan Orlek.
